More Important Announcements:

Having problems with Schoology? Parents who signed up for a Basic Schoology account last year may be receiving an error message when they attempt to access Schoology through their LAUSD PASSport Parent Portal account this year. Please go to the Schoology Error Message page on Cleveland’s web site for instructions on how to resolve the issue. Click here: schoology error message

PTSA (PTA) at Cleveland is at Risk, unless at least 2 parents step up and join the board for next year. The Cleveland PTSA / PTA sponsors Grad Nite yearly for seniors (and other senior events, which the school cannot legally run per LAUSD policy) as well as supporting the school with funds as requested and approved. Recent support includes money for the growing band to buy equipment, purchase of an ice machine, purchase of a second defibrillator, 2 $500 scholarships awarded to senior students yearly, etc. This all stops beginning next year unless the PTSA gets parent board members. This is a low level commitment. Besides the limited Treasurer duties, the main things the board does are selling the Grad Nite tickets and organizing the event, running the Reflections art competition with student board members chairing it, and holding a membership drive. Other student board members include secretaries, and community outreach. There are a handful of meetings per year. We need a parent president and treasurer at a minimum.
It is up to the parents of students in 9th – 11th grade to ensure the Cleveland PTSA /PTA continues next year and Grad Nite among other activities does not cease to exist for Cleveland students. Please contact Sandie Minasian at or Cindy Liberty asap.

It is also not too late to join PTSA. Send $10 per member in an envelope to school with student’s name, homeroom teacher name, and member(s) name asap. Your support is appreciated and needed to help our school.
