Alex Mitchell

Mr. Mitchell is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went to Drexel University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Teacher Education with a minor in Mathematics. After teaching for a few years, he decided to return to school for a Master’s degree. He studied Educational Leadership at California State University Northridge and also have a certificate to be a college counselor from UCLA Extension.

When Mr. Mitchell is not teaching, he prefers to go rock climbing. He finds it to be both a physical and mental challenge. Mr. Mitchell relates the personal challenges that rock climbing brings to his math classes – inspiring students to believe in themselves and learn how to overcome internal struggles.
