Jack Bartlett

Jack Bartlett was born in Boston and raised in a small town west of Boston and in Orange County, CA. Mr. Bartlett attended the University of California, Irvine for his bachelor’s degree and the University of California, Los Angeles for his Masters in Education and Social Science credential. Previously, Mr. Bartlett worked at Alliance Tennenbaum Family Technology High School in the Glassell Park neighborhood of LA. There, he taught US History, AP US History, Government/Economics, and AP Government, for 9 years. In addition, Mr. Bartlett advised ASB and Junior State of America.

Because of the small size of the school, Mr.Bartlett frequently collaborated and worked with the English Department in combined department meetings which resulted in cross curricular development. This developed his appreciation for interdisciplinary humanities. A highlight was a unit around the Red Scare and Cold War in US History being paired with “The Crucible” in English 11. By seeing how stories paired with historical context made the curriculum come alive for students, Mr. Bartlett became an advocate for interdisciplinary learning, and is thrilled to be continuing this journey at CORE.

Currently, Mr. Bartlett teaches 12 Grade Humanities and is inspired everyday by the amazing faculty and, of course, the students who show such creativity, heart, and passion. He can and can be found jamming with Mr. Loconte and Mr. Clutario in Whisperwall during COREchella.
