Welcome Back! Welcome Back! Welcome Back!

by Jennifer Macon

Welcome back, COREbabies! And a very special welcome to our freshmen and brand new sophomores and juniors in the CORE program. As you begin anew this year, spend time thinking about the habits you need and want to develop to be your best self this year.

Once you have narrowed them down to the one to three you would like to focus on, break those down into micro-habits, small behaviors that build the habit you are trying to develop. For example, if you want to practice more self-care, like getting more sleep on the weekdays, a micro-habit might be no cell phone use an hour before your bedtime. If you want to spend more time with family, a micro-habit might be establishing one night a week as “family only” time. Don’t forget habits are just practices repeated.

For more on habit buildi, go to www.atomichabits.com.

Have a wonderful year and thank you for all you do!
